Students who are planning to study at Elangeni TVET College in 2027 should not wait until the last few days to submit their applications. Applications for the relevant 2027 intake are open, with 31 October 2026 being the closing date for applicants covered by this application window.
For prospective students who want practical, career-focused education, Elangeni TVET College offers several study routes, including National Certificate (Vocational) programmes, NATED business and engineering studies, and occupational skills programmes.
However, applying is not simply a matter of completing an online form. Applicants need to choose an appropriate programme, check the entry requirements, prepare their supporting documents and complete the College’s application and assessment process correctly.
Here is what prospective students should know before applying.
Elangeni TVET College applications close on 31 October 2026
The Elangeni TVET College application deadline is 31 October 2026 for the relevant 2027 application window.
Students should apply as early as possible rather than waiting for the closing date. A late application can create unnecessary problems if a student still needs to obtain certified documents, correct information on the application, complete assessments or resolve an application-status issue.
Elangeni’s official website currently lists separate 2027 application adverts, including NCV applications for the 2027 academic year and occupational programme applications for 2027. The College also states that registrations are processed online.
Applicants should therefore check the programme-specific information before submitting an application.
What can you study at Elangeni TVET College?
Elangeni offers several different study pathways, so applicants should not choose a course simply because it is available.
The College’s current programme information includes NCV programmes, NATED business studies, NATED engineering studies, occupational skills programmes and blended distance-learning options.
NCV options listed by the College include:
- Safety in Society
- Tourism
- Primary Agriculture
- Office Administration
- Hospitality
- Information Technology & Computers
The College also lists NATED business programmes such as Human Resource Management, Public Management, Business Management, Financial Management, Farming Management and Hospitality & Catering Services.
For students interested in technical careers, Elangeni also offers engineering-related studies and occupational programmes such as welding, plumbing, furniture making, building and civil construction and aircraft maintenance mechanics.
The important point is that different programmes have different entry requirements. Students should check the requirements for their chosen course before applying.
Do not choose a course before checking the requirements
One of the biggest mistakes an applicant can make is applying for a programme without checking whether they meet its academic requirements.
For example, Elangeni’s published NATED engineering information shows that entry requirements can differ substantially between programmes and levels. Its Electrical Engineering N1 information includes Grade 9 with Mathematics of at least 40% and Physical Science of at least 30%, together with other requirements. Its Civil Engineering N1 information, meanwhile, specifies a minimum of Grade 11 with Mathematics above 50%.
This means there is no single academic requirement that applies to every Elangeni programme.
Before applying, prospective students should ask:
- Do I have the correct grade or qualification?
- Do I have the required subjects?
- Did I achieve the required marks?
- Am I applying for the correct level?
- Is the programme actually offered at the campus I selected?
Checking these details first can prevent an applicant from submitting an application for a programme for which they do not qualify.
Documents you should prepare before starting
Applicants should prepare their supporting documents before beginning the online application.
According to Elangeni’s application instructions, applicants are required to upload documents including a certified copy of their identity document, the required school report or results, proof of home address and, where applicable, parent or guardian documentation and proof of income.
The College’s instructions specify that the latest school report requirements can differ according to the programme. The published application process refers to a Grade 9 report for NCV and N1-level applications and Grade 12 documentation for N4 applications.
Students should therefore have the following ready where applicable:
- Certified copy of their South African ID or relevant identification document
- Latest school results/report
- Parent or guardian ID
- Proof of home address
- Proof of income where required
- NSFAS application information if applying for financial assistance
Do not upload documents that are unreadable, incomplete or incorrectly certified. If the College rejects a document, its application system can show the reason, allowing the applicant to correct the problem.
How to apply to Elangeni TVET College
Elangeni uses an online application process.
Applicants should begin through the official Elangeni TVET College website, rather than paying someone on social media to complete an application for them.
The College’s published process involves accessing online registration, logging into or registering through GoStudy, completing the career questionnaire and narrative, creating a student profile and then selecting the appropriate year, campus and programme.
After selecting a programme, applicants must complete outstanding information and finalise the application.
The College then requires supporting documents to be uploaded.
Apply through the official College application portal: Elangeni TVET College application portal
Applicants should keep their login details safe because the application does not necessarily end when the form is submitted.
What happens after you submit?
Students should pay attention to their application status after submitting their information.
Elangeni’s application process describes several stages.
An application can show Pending Verification, which indicates that the application has been submitted successfully. If documents are rejected, the applicant should read the reason provided and correct the specific problem rather than simply uploading the same document again.
Applicants may then move through stages involving assessment, review and provisional acceptance.
For some applicants, the College sends an SMS containing a link and token to complete numeracy and literacy assessments. Elangeni explains that career guidance and the narrative are completed during the application stage, while numeracy and literacy assessments form part of the subsequent assessment process.
Students should therefore check their SMS messages and application status regularly after submitting an application.
Submitting the online form does not automatically mean that the student has been admitted.
What does provisional acceptance mean?
Applicants who reach the Provisionally Accepted stage still have an important step to complete.
According to Elangeni, the applicant must accept or decline the offer. The process includes access to the Student Code of Conduct, and students who accept the offer are required to provide a signature using their phone or computer.
Students should read the information carefully rather than accepting an offer without understanding what they are agreeing to.
After that, the application can move to the payment stage.

What about NSFAS funding?
Students who cannot afford their studies should investigate NSFAS funding separately rather than assuming that applying to Elangeni automatically means they will receive funding.
Elangeni states that NSFAS provides financial assistance to qualifying students at TVET colleges. Its financial-aid information says eligibility includes South African citizens or permanent residents who meet the applicable financial and academic requirements. The College currently states a household-income threshold of R350,000 per year, with a R600,000 threshold for applicants with disabilities, subject to the applicable NSFAS rules.
NSFAS applications are made through the NSFAS system. Elangeni’s application instructions direct students to create a myNSFAS account, complete the application, upload supporting documents where applicable and submit the application.
Importantly, college admission and NSFAS funding are separate processes. A student should not assume that being accepted by the College automatically guarantees funding.
Students should be careful of application scams
There is another reason applicants should apply early: it gives them time to use the official process instead of turning to unverified individuals offering to “secure” admission.
Elangeni TVET College specifically warns prospective students that it does not use agents, consultants or third parties for registration and says the College does not charge fees for registration or application assistance. It warns students about people requesting money to secure spaces or fast-track admission.
Students should never send money to someone claiming they can guarantee admission.
If someone asks for payment to “reserve” a place, speed up an application or secure a programme, applicants should treat the request with caution and verify it directly with Elangeni.
Which campuses does Elangeni have?
Elangeni TVET College has several campuses, giving students different options depending on where they live and which programme they want to study.
The College lists campuses at:
- Inanda
- KwaDabeka
- KwaMashu
- Pinetown
- Mpumalanga
- Ndwedwe
- Ntuzuma
- Qadi
It also has an Artisan & Skills Development Centre in Inchanga.
Students should not assume that every programme is offered at every campus. The programme and campus should be checked during the application process.
Apply before 31 October rather than waiting
For students who have already decided that Elangeni TVET College is the right option for their 2027 studies, there is little benefit in waiting until the final day.
Use the time now to check the programme requirements, prepare certified documents, select the appropriate campus and complete the online application.
After applying, continue checking the application status and respond to any request for additional documents or assessments.
Most importantly, students should remember that an application is not the same as registration. Applicants still need to progress through the College’s admission process, accept an offer where applicable, satisfy outstanding requirements and complete the registration process. Elangeni’s published process ultimately identifies Pre-enrolled & Registered as the completed registration stage.
Final reminder for prospective students
If you are considering studying at Elangeni TVET College in 2027, do not leave your application until 31 October 2026.
Check the course requirements first, gather your documents, apply through the official College system and monitor your application after submission.
There is also no need to pay an agent to apply on your behalf. Elangeni says applications are processed online and warns prospective students against fraudulent third parties.

The most important step is to get your application submitted correctly before the 31 October 2026 closing date, while there is still enough time to fix any problems that may arise during the process.
